Hi Mom, Arrived at Epiphany Harbor and am safely at anchor, all's well, and writing again for self entertainment while the quest continues for a girlfriend. So I'll share what appears to be a further act of social suicide (aside from my cougar dissertation) in the buying of my first car in 9 years. Thanks Mom for going with me to test-drive the Porches last week, I sure liked them and my depre... [read more]
Hi Mom, All's well on land these days and my mercury levels must be dropping, as I am craving seafood and often look wistfully into my roommate's fish tank... Oh well, I'm sure to be taking in other toxins so likely I won't go into shock. I note to friends overseas, Hurricane Ike wiped clean from the face of the earth the marina where I first docked when arriving back in the US. About a mo... [read more]
HI Mom, Just a week since my last missive and more adventures in mainstream…”Houston Space Control… The Seagull has landed” (Gypsy Soul rests on Lake Travis). I may have written months and months back about having a dream, about the Gypsy Soul being safe and home, on lake Travis, stripped pretty and uncovered in cruising junk with 6 inches of waterline showing. Hi Mom, Well it’s the last missive from abroad I think, and a long one filled with the last weeks adventure and a few reflective moments on the last leg home. In two days we will be able to send a date of arrival, and the day after maybe a time. After the train of friends, family and film guys the last couple months, constant dodging of reefs and the shallow water heebeegeebees, the open g... [read more]
